I am so thrilled that Amy has decided to open a dance studio in Unity! I have had the privilege of knowing Amy since she was a very young girl. Amy was a wonderful, technical dancer in every discipline, with a beautiful performance quality. When Amy became a dance educator, it was clear how much she cared about her students and put so much attention, detail and expertise into their training. Not only did Amy have amazing choreography but I witnessed how she inspired her students backstage and truly bonded with each and every one of them. Her joyful, energetic and kind demeanour will ensure her certain success. Unity is so lucky to have her. I wish Amy the best of luck in this exciting future endeavour.

Nicole has taught my daughter for the last 10 years, instructing her in ballet, pointe, tap, jazz, musical theatre and lyrical. Her vast dance experience and enthusiasm to teach has kept my daughter driven and focused on attaining her dance goals. Even during Covid, Nicole was able to keep her enthusiastic and excited about dance. Nicole guides her students with compassion  and sets expectations that are attainable in accordance to their goals, while keeping them challenged and interested. She has an innate gift to see abilities in her students that they may not see in themselves. She guides them recognize those abilities and work hard to bring them to fruition.
Above and beyond her dedication to her students is her love for them as humans. Not only does she want them to succeed at dance, but in their lives as well. Her guidance, honesty, advice and love sets her apart from any other teachers Shylo has had. Not only is she a dance teacher, but also a mentor, an example and a shoulder to lean on.

"This past dance season, I have had nothing but good experiences while having Beth as my dance coach. Beth is a very efficient choreographer, she saves a lot of class time from being wasted by always being prepared. She has so much experience as a dancer and her style of dance has so much sass that makes it so fun to perform but also watch, which is why I love all of Beth’s choreography. Beth also allows for a great dance environment to be in because of how passionate she is towards her work but also because of how friendly she is as a person.” - Rayn R, Usask Jazz Team

I had the privilege of having Beth as a coach for the University Saskatchewan Jazz Team this year. The season couldn’t have run more smoothly under her direction. She leads an organized, inclusive and enjoyable class while showing she cares for each of her students. Beth knows how to push us to be our best while still acknowledging boundaries and limits. She has made class fun and purposeful lane any student would be lucky to have her as an instructor! She is well rounded, knowledgeable and I can’t wait to take more classes with her in the future!

Nicole Riehl is an amazing person and fitness instructor. As a woman in my 50s, I knew exercise was important for my overall well-being, but was having trouble committing to any exercise program. My sister was attending classes by Nicole and told me that her classes were both  fun and hard work. I went to Nicole’s Zumba class and loved it. I have been a faithful participant in Nicole’s classes for over 9 years.

In addition to Zumba, Nicole has instructed me in Bodyflow (combination of Pilates, tai chi, and yoga),  Newbody (functional strength and cardio), and meditation. In each of these classes Nicole is well prepared and knows and cares so much for her clients. She often reminds us/coaches us to remember certain things about our bodies. She recognizes the variety of ability levels in her classes and gives so many options.

Now in my 60s, I appreciate that Nicole’s classes have helped me improve my daily life. I am more fit, more flexible, and I recognize how important exercise is to my mental health and my sleep! I have learned to appreciate my body and to take care of it. I am in better shape now than I have ever been in my life; much of this is due to the excellent and compassionate teaching of Nicole Riehl.

I have had the privilege to dance along side Amy and witness her talented students take the stage throughout the years. I have learned throughout this time that Amy is a very kind-hearted, compassionate and caring dancer and teacher. Her breathtaking choreography and well rounded students are always a pleasure to watch at dance competitions. Her passion and love for dance is passed down to all of her students along with her large knowledge and strong technique/skills.

I was lucky enough to step in for an injured dancer in a few of Amy’s dances in the Stars of Hope Cancer Fundraiser. Amy went to great lengths to make me feel welcomed and included in the group. She stayed later to help me learn and perfect the dance in the short time I had. Her knowledge of dance, her years of experience and patience with others is what makes her an amazing teacher and dancer. The time I have spent with Amy may be short but her love for dance is contagious and I feel very honoured to have shared the stage with someone who finds true happiness and joy in dance.

I have known Melany my entire life and had the privilege to have been taught by her for my final two years of dance. Although my time being taught by Melany was short, she had a huge impact on my dance career. She has a truly amazing gift and it is very clearly portrayed in each and every one of her dances. Melany pushes her students to do their best and has helped them all gain so much confidence in their dancing abilities. She has the ability to choreograph dances that not only include emotion and passion, but also display her dancers technique and skills. Melany has a way of making all of her dancers feel welcome and heard. She makes her classes fun and enjoyable, while also ensuring that we learn and grow as dancers. Melany makes you feel as though you are part of one big family in her classes. Her love of dance and teaching is very clear and she has shared that love with all of her dancers. I am so thankful that I had the opportunity to have Melany as my dance teacher. The years with her were some of my most memorable ones and I will be forever grateful for all she did to help me grow as a dancer.
